Cinematographer Profile: Doug MacCormack
I have worked for 40 years in TV broadcasting as a videographer. I operated the first portable video camera and was the first ENG cameraman for CBC in Vancouver. I have over 1000 half-hour productions that I have shot, many award winning videos. I shot part of documentery that was up for an Academy Award nomination, which was a highlight of my career.
After 20 years of news as senior videographer, I took early retirement and began freelancing. My passion is gathering stock footage... a picture is worth a thousand words. I have created a new online division of my company, www.dvstills.com, and look forward to what the future of the world wide web has to offer. Seeing the changes from black & white broadcasting to the present day range of choices is very exciting. I look forward to providing video for OceanFootage.com customers.
