Why Should I Register?
Registration gives you access to many key site features, including higher quality preview clips and free preview downloads. You will gain access to Clipbins, to help manage your clip selections, and Shot Requests which are distributed to our worldwide network of leading cinematographers. Registration is also required to purchase preview tapes and master footage online.
How Do I Change My E-mail Address and Password?
To change your e-mail address and password, click on the 'Account' link on the menu (black) bar near the top of the page. Enter your username and password, check the 'Change User Preferences' box, and Sign In. If you have already signed in, click the 'Change User Preferences' link. Enter your new password and/or e-mail address in the appropriate fields and click the 'Submit' button.
Why Can't I View Video Clips?
Clip previews require QuickTime 5 or higher. You can download the free software at www.apple.com/quicktime/download.
Can I Download Video Clips?
Footage Search allows clients to download Quicktime Preview Clips at no charge (Sorenson 320x240, 25-30 frames per second). The preview download option above is NOT available for Academic Use or for any Public Display. To enable your free download, you must first register with Footage Search, then add the desired clips to your Cart. Then simply select the View Cart link and choose Order Preview Clips. Once your order has been reviewed, we will forward you a link which will allow you to download the preview clips. You can also choose to order for $50 up-to 25 full-frame (MPEG-2 or DV) watermarked preview clips via download, ideal for offline editing on a non-linear editing system for in-house review. You can also request preview footage with timecode burn on a VHS tape or DVD for $75.
How Much Do Clips Cost?
The price of each clip is set by the cinematographer and varies based on format and rarity of footage. Pricing information is viewable on the movie popup window below the preview clip.
